MISSION STATEMENT: Star Aviation, Inc. is committed to maintaining the highest standards of Quality, Safety, Reliability and Customer Service.

GOAL:  To achieve consistently high levels of quality in our services which maximize reliability, extend Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removal (MTBUR), improve our customers operational readiness and reduce their repetitive maintenance costs. 

 

HISTORY:  Incorporated in 1995, Star Aviation, Inc. is a dedicated provider of quality repair and specialized services to the Commercial Aerospace Industry. Our company was founded by our President, Bok J. Dean, who continues to retain strategic control over the company, while day-to-day management is under the authority of Julie P. Kendall, the Chief Executive Officer. Star Aviation is a self certified "Minority Woman Owned Small Business".

 

Our company is approved and certificated by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Administration (EASA), under Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 145, with Limited Accessory ratings (Wire Harnesses… see capabilities list).

ABOUT:  Star Aviation's focus is testing and maintenance of the Electronic Wire Interconnect System (EWIS). We have made a substantial investments in our facilities, equipment, and personnel in order to provide the service excellence our customers deserve and as a differentiator from our competitors.

 

Our facilities (8000+ Sq. Ft.) are located in Goshen, Kentucky. The facilities are constructed and laid out to best support our repair and specialized service functions. Our facilities and our customers property are protected with an internal and external security systems. All of our tooling and test equipment are state-of-the-art, including our advanced computerized wire harness boards and the latest technology for diagnosing intermittent faults in electronics. Our Intermittent Fault detection and Isolation System (IFDIS) provides 5120 test channels (all lines, all the time) test capability. We use an Environmental Chamber during intermittence testing to more accurately simulate the operational conditions of the Unit Under test (UUT). Our chamber provides 6 Axis of randomly selected vibration and controlled temperature variations from -100 C to +200 C.

Star Aviation is the only commercial MRO with an “Intermittent Fault Detection & Isolation System (IFDIS) capable of 5120 test circuits. IFDIS is the only system with the demonstrated capability to accurately detect and isolate intermittent failures in EWIS, including in the back-planes of “Line Replaceable Units” (LRUs) and more.
